Salmon Country Marina was established and incorporated in June of 1975. It has been a family owned and operated business for 40+ years. Before Salmon Country was a marina and campgrounds, it was a 200 acre dairy farm run by Alfred and Beatrice Blunt. When Alfred wasn’t farming, he loved his boat and fishing. At that time, Alfred had the biggest boat on the river, a 19 foot MFG. They soon realized that running a small dairy farm was no longer feasible. Luckily, they had the little Salmon River flowing right through their back yard! The next logical step was to run a family operated marina and campgrounds. Robert and Carolyn Blunt ran the family marina for 40+ years and decided to retire in 2022. Present-day operations are now run by their son and daughter-in-law, James and Julia Blunt. There are several other key members of running the business that keep the true meaning of being Family Owned and Operated! We offer a variety of services to make your boating experience smooth sailing. You may also enjoy our family friendly campgrounds! We hope to see you soon!

Bob and Carolyn Blunt have been the faces of Salmon Country Inc. for 40+ years. In 2022, they decided to try a new role as retirees. They are finally able to enjoy a much slower pace and take time for themselves as they passed the torch to their son and daughter-in-law, Jim & Julia Blunt. We thank them for all their hard work and dedication and wish them all the best in retirement!
